CERTIFICATIONS

Majka Burhardt has been guiding since 1999 and, in 2003, was the fourth woman in the United States to become certified by the American Mountain Guides Association, the exclusive credentialing organization for American guides. Though Majka cut her teeth guiding in the North Cascades, she now specializes in guiding multi-pitch rock climbing.  From classic moderates, to long technical routes, to short stints up the flatirons and elaborate ascents of alpine peaks, Majka guides the gamut.

For the past nine years Majka has been guiding for the Colorado Mountain School.  Her guiding activity with CMS is focused in Rocky Mountain National Park and Eldorado Canyon.  She is also available to guide in other areas throughout the US such as Red Rocks, NV, Joshua Tree, CA, and New Hampsire by private booking.

Majka is also an experienced mountaineering and ice guide and has guided expeditions in Ecuador, Nepal, Bolivia, Mexico, and Alaska.
